Have you ever noticed that the way we have babies is actually a proof of creation and the Fall? Think about this… Every other natural process, be it sneezing, going to the bathroom, walking, breathing, or blowing your nose, only hurts when there’s something malfunctioning. Pain is a red flag from your body that something is amiss and may need to be tended to. But pain in childbirth? To some extent that is just par for the course. Childbirth is supposed to hurt. If a woman is groaning in pain having a baby, no one is going to think that anything is dramatically amiss. But when an animal is down on the ground groaning with pain during birth, you probably need to call the vet. Hmmm. Now if evolution were true, why on earth would we evolve a more painful and difficult birth process than the animals? After all, evolution is supposed to be all about keeping the species going, right? Anything that discourages reproduction would not tend to be selected for.
And speaking of things which would not be selected for from an evolutionary standpoint, try this thought on for size. If evolution is true, abortion should be impossible.
By impossible I mean that the act of killing one’s offspring, before they even see the light of day, ought to be completely, totally unthinkable - unpermissible by the forces which drive us to procreate and keep the species going. This would not be a trait that evolution would promote by any stretch of the imagination. If we are governed by our biology, and biology selects for the fittest traits for survival, obviously anyone who would kill off their progeny would be weeded out in short order. Know what I mean? Odd isn’t it, that one of the most evil actions we humans do is, in a way, proof of God’s creation.
