It all started here.
I gave myself til my birthday (which was last Friday) to hit my weight loss goal. I actually hit it about two months sooner than that and have gone a bit farther than originally planned. 
I was a 2XL, size 20/22…now I wear S and XS - 6s and 4s. Wow.
My life has soooooo changed. I mean, I am still moody. Losing weight doesn’t change that. I’m still ADD as all get out. As a matter of fact, as I always suspected, there was an “H” in there somewhere buried under the fat. Now I’m REALLY hyper! 
I’m more confident. I’m tons more energetic. I’m much more willing to say “I’ll do it!” to stuff that needs to be done… And I am NOT, repeat, NOT ruled by food anymore. (we won’t discuss coffee)
I did not do this alone.
I have some major gratitude to offer up!
First of all - Thanks and Praise to God -the giver of all good gifts, the author and finisher of my faith. Even if I can not feel His presence, I know He had a hand in this. I could NOT have done this on my own. And I still don’t really know what happened to me to make this possible.
Thank you to my wonderful, awesome, fandoubletastic MOM. She is the only person who always, always believed that someday I would do this. She has been an unfailing support, a patient listener, and, well, my mommy!
Thank you to my husband. He isn’t one to praise much…but he never criticized me when I was heavy, either. And he has NEVER tried to sabotage me or tempt me to stray in any way. Not only that, but he has provided tremendous material support in the form of my South Beach membership and cookbook purchases, my iPod (bought TWICE because the first one was stolen), a new treadmill when the bike broke, lots and lots of clothes as the sizes kept changing. Plus he has put up with a wife who spends a TON of time online. 
He just couldn’t be more generous and patient.
Thank you to my brother, who has also been incredibly supportive and forthcoming with his praise! PLUS - he’s my webmaster here and on my weight loss site. He’s a pretty essential dude!
Thank you to my friends, especially my two best friends: Julie and Sarah. You know, I’ve heard horror stories of people who lost friends through life changes like this one. Those poor souls weren’t blessed with buddies like mine. Both of these great ladies have spent countless hours on the phone encouraging me, laughing with me, crying (with joy) for me… I haven’t been able to see either of them for two years - I can’t WAIT until we can all get together! Hey - I can wear their clothes now!!! 
And thank you, thank you, thank you to all the wonderful ladies (and dude) at One Weigh Or Another. I truly believe we have the best darn group weight loss blog out there. I treasure your friendship! I love you lots!! Happy Blogiversary!!
