In a minor story today about someone trying to blackmail Miss New Jersey by threatening to reveal naughty pictures of her, her lawyer said:
“It’s a real shame because she’s a sweet kid,” the lawyer said. “She’s got a stellar background and she’s very talented and it just seems we can never get away from this in our culture.”
Okay now, color me stupid… but it seems to me that if you never pose for naughty pics, or participate in wild events where someone might take such pics without your knowledge….then you have nothing “in our culture” to get away from.
Or am I just being naive?

I dunno. People can do an awful lot of stuff with Photoshop these days.
And people can do things they later regret. Though a better way of handling it may be to say “Yes, that was me. But that was me 5 years ago and not now and I should not have done that”
